so, last night I plugged in the Strat and jammed on my GigTweed. I felt inspired, so I fired up the chain and wrote/arranged/recorded.

But the whole time I'm thinking, This tone is cavenous, the sound is really like a huge reverb. Now I'm using the rm50 with verb just on at about 7oclock and I'm in a large garage (with carpet); and I think I know this rm50 gets huge fast, but wow.
I record and feel confused that the tone was very distant.

I wake up and as I'm in car driving to work on 4 hours sleep due to this jamnight, I think, oh no, the single mic on the 4x12 was on a dead speaker...I had the cab split down into 2 2x12s and miced the wrong one

Maybe I'll post a clip for laughs

Hey you know what? You might want to put one mic there, and another on the correct speaker. Record dual mono and mix them accordingly. It could be a cool effect. Pan them opposite and have the dead speaker level set lower.

Might try time slipping the dead speaker track too. Could be cool.
