3d aux7 towards the front closest to the grillcloth.

Hi I am guessing but there is a third aux7 tube in the rm20 if your looking at the back of the amp its the one by itself closest to the grill cloth. Is this the rectorfier tube?. i am just learning about this stuff and am currious. I retubed the power amp and the preamp with ruby tubes and the tube in question is a electro harmonics tube ,are these good tubes or should I replace it with a ruby tube? . Thanks guys for you help. I'm not sure about the order of tubes but as far as brands go it is in the eye of the beholder. I like russian tubes better so i am more inclined to like the EHX more than the chinese made Ruby. EHX are very high quality tubes BTW. But if you have ruby's elsewhere and like it, why not swap it out it out?

well you got a phase invert (1 tube)

tube effects loop (1tube)

and a tube boost (probably 1/2 a tube)


never pulled my Rm20 apart but I'd guess that one nearest the grill colth is the boost tube

The tube closest to the grill is the input tube.
