mts Salvation direct into 11R

Hey
I've been working on these tunes for awhile, as well as trying to learn my new PT system. I think (?) I used Salvation on most of the tracks, lots of S1S0,Stonerverb, & Mamba all di into the 11R.

I'm hoping I can lure a vocalist onto the project, then I'll reamp the guitars and push some air. The modules definitely shine when pushing air, but I thought people might be interested in checking out the di tones...there also some 11R only tones mixed in (all rhythms on track 2 are 11R only), I sort of forget which tones I used where, i've been tweaking for a few months.

2PAB all 11R, all Wolfgang, solo was a Salvation (S1S0?)
3Frozen Bagel I just finished, so I know I used an Epiphone LP7 w/ BK MMans> Stonerverb for the main rhythms, the Mamba for the lead.

Much, much, much more interested in getting an RM4 and some modules now. I intend on recording through the Eleven Rack cabs and my PDI-09.

-TLTD on ERUG (already on the Boogie Board as TLTD but had to make a new one for this, my old handle of Whyrendog just wont die because I always need a backup one in these situations haha).

Looking forward to sharing some presets set up for tube preamps.

P.S. I've been working with someone that uses a modded 5150 in a studio room for reamping. I can recommend you/hook you up if you want. He's got some cool stuff he mods his own so there's no other out there with his sound either. We can probably reamp something right away and see if you like it.

Here's a preset that I have been liking for playing my Mesa/Boogie Quad through the Eleven Rack lately trying to copy the studio sound: http://db.tt/o4WHMM1T (c30/57 oa +pEQ/effects/comp)...the one I used for my PDI-09 can be used it has 65w 4x12 and different sound just turn off the FX Loop and turn the cab back on: http://db.tt/NEecSjJU

Yes, mts rocks!
I sort of went the opposite way of you though...I had the mts amps and decided I needed to go direct, with all this investment in mods, the rm4 was an easy choice. The 11R turned out to be the last piece and I totally love the combo for di recording.

That being said, there is a symbiotic relationship of the modules to the power amps. The DI approach begins to blur the lines and the modules seem to have more crossover in tones. It is a huge upgrade in tonal quality, but the real payoff is pushing an amp/air. The modded modules are really special.

That 5150 sounds interesting, I almost bought a 5150 stack and decided to go with the S1S0 from Salvation. In retrospect, the S1S0 is still available whereas that craig's list deal is long gone. No regrets on the tone though, S1S0 is a killer module.

Yeah, I remember it well. It was so disturbing that I got traumatized second hand off of it. I was really worried about you for a while surrounding that wicked finger slice. The tracks sound great. Looks like that finger took a lickin' and kept on tickin'
