Hey all,

We have another "real" video in the works, but for now we posted a video of our live (warts and all!) rehearsal here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByMFx1Z8bpE

The recording setup was RM4>RT2/50>MTS Cabinet w/V30s>SM57. You'll see a Marshall cabinet in the video, but the MTS cabinet was sitting in the other room with a mic on it for isolation. Nothing but a cable between guitar (SG Standard) and amp.

Main module used was Gigmods 1087, except for a little clean part in the middle which was a stock Blackface.

Like it, share it, or, heck, even dislike it! We love it all.

Thanks

That is awesome! I actually watched the whole thing a couple times. Great guitar tone and bass tone!

Thanks for the kind words, which are pretty much the reason we do this. We especially like when comments and reviews show up on the social media stuff.

The bass sound is just through a Sansamp (for isolation like the guitar sound), but of course there's lots of bleed from the SVT in the room. You should hear the bleed in the raw vocal mics, it's loud in there!

Kinda funny how hard we worked on the album versions with moving mics, cabinets, turning dials etc versus this which was pretty much slap up some mics and hit record. We did check the sounds, but only for a few minutes. We spent a lot more time shoehorning cameras in there.

It's totally cool and sounds really nice. Ironic how once you get a solid sound, improving the mic placement and such becomes a game of diminishing returns. You guys sound like a band that's played together for a bit.

Although I was sad to hear you we're all orphans... Is hat how you met;)?

Yes, we are guilty of being old. I assume that's what you meant :)

Ha! Actually my grandfather was a genuine orphan and my grandmother loves to tell him he was spoiled because the orphanage had a pool and a movie screen and stuff.

That was like a GOOD Queen's of the Stone Age rather than the band itself that doesn't do much for me. Interesting arrangement, loved the drumming. I honestly think the drumming made the song because of the layers it added throughout. Furthermore, the song was good too. Great job.

Really cool stuff. You guys are on the right track. Always loved the trio setup. You guys groove together really well. Go get it!
