RM20

So I ended up picking up an RM20 from cold Machine .

I never used these amps before, is there any other tube the RM20 can use other than EL84? I'd really like to be able to run it with some 6V6s or something.

EL84s only.

Stock is JJ tubes but I like the Mullard R.I. (from New Sensor I think):

Just a little bit sweeter and clearer sounding than the JJ.

Alright, thanks for the heads up. Also I noticed that Dougs Tubes are not only cheaper than TTS but also ship faster/cheaper. Just figured I'd let you guys know.

I have an RM20 that I've used for maybe eight hours (maybe). The best tube combination I've found is ARS 12AX7's in the preamp and the Mullard EL84's in the power section.

It sounded really dull and lifeless with the stock JJ's. I just threw them in the trash because they're worthless, IMO.
