A friend of mine heard from Bruce a couple of months ago that the E2 is to be produced in California. Could this be a Bruce/salvation/mattfig/JohnnyWadd collaboration thing? The E2 should be of course able to take both single and dual Ch modules.. Seems Kapo might be on to something here..

One more guess before the news drops...
I think you guys figured out a way to make NEW MTS circuit boards! And, not only that, but I think you guys may have figured out a way to add new features/capabilities to those new boards. It's the only thing that makes sense when you consider you guys just opened a new business around a dying brand. I think that's what you guys are doing right now - finishing up your first batch of modules based on the new boards you guys designed.
