Is the RM20/22 loop the same as the other heads?

Where it is set for rack effects and not pedals without adding the Eb tech thing.
Was considering it but was curious cause I only use pedals.

Why are the Hardwire different?
Only problem is I have the below in my sig

I guess really looking at it the delays are the really only bad sounding.
Rack mounts are not something I was considering because I am not much of a tweaker which is why I like pedals
