Other brands of 6V6

Hi I am currently using RM 50, and I want to put some 6V6 in my amp. The only 6V6 I have acess to are Mesa boogie, and EHX can I use those

Only JJ's are approved. Use other brands at your own risk.

Other brands (including pricey NOS 6V6s) will get chewed up pretty fast in these amps. I'd probably stick with JJs unless I felt like replacing tubes and fuses.

If you have to try another brand, watch the tubes real close for cherry red spots on the plates - the big grey 'square' inside the tubes. Or for the plates to glow red... danger danger danger, shut the amp down immediately.
