question about the stock plexi module.

I was reading the mods page and it said to tighten up the lowend/attack to replace the typical .0047uF cap (C3) with a smaller one (.0022uF or .001 uF). Now, when I took a look at the module diagram for the stock Plexi it says C3 is a .022uF cap. So which is it? Do this module have a .022 or .0022 cap stock?

Also, for you modders, is there a way to make the gain a little drier? For example, my Peavey XXX is very saturated at the same gain levels were my Mark IV sounds dry. I want the gain on my Plexi to be a little less saturated.

I just made an identical post about this the other day . . . That PDF document has a typo - it should say .0022uF (2200pF), not .022uF.

So thats why when I replaced C3 with a .022uF it got even boomier

But, I replaced it with a smaller one and now its nice and tight. =]

:lol: Yup . . . it's the stock Brown which has the .0047uF in C3 - the stock Plexi already has the .0022uF . . .
