I've been off the forum for awhile, but thought some of you might like to hear what the rig sounds like from a recording session with my band. I've owned just about every stock module and bunch of modded ones, and ended up with JTM for clean, JF modded plexi for crunch rhythm and JF VHT (modded KH3) for lead. Also run a JF modded Grail but didn't use it on this song. Can't say enough about Rob's mod work. All guitar effects are thru the Xpression in the rack, not added separately. Oh yeah, the cab is a stock NXT2x12.

Thanks for all the comments! I was most interested in posting the tones cause lots of folks (me included) are curious about how different modules sound, particularly Rob's work. Getting feedback on the song is an added bonus ;)

If you're curious as to how Rob's plexi sounds for a lead, check this one out. It's more "classic" marshall tone but it works for the song.

On the mesa, I did the deep mod. Ya can't really hear it on the recordings but live it really opens up the bottom end, makes the grail sound very close to the real deal. It's easy to do and highly recommended.
