C3 is my main module for lead tones. Think marshall-is but more clarity, note definition, sensitive. I also found it becomes muddy if you turn the gain all the way up. I keep it about 6-7 and boost with an overdrive when needed...

FCB 1010 is unbeatable in its price range with the Uno chip. You can use a lil software to program it and then it is quite easy. Otherwise on the cheap side there is still the ART X15 ultrafoot (but pretty rare and... well, pink :D ) If you increase budget, indeed GCP, rocktron midimate and all...

+1 The RM100 can receive both CC and PC messages, and will work with any controller. So far I commanded my RM100 with an ART X11 (for sale :D) , a FCB1010 and even the midi out of a good ol' boss ME5 floor fx unit (for sale too :P )

Indeed. The VB101 cannot, But the VM202 can. And it is a VB101 in MW's rack... my mistake ;) So I suppose He send the RM4s in any of the power section of the amplifiers and then the signal go back in the rack to the Torpedo...
