FS: 3 Egnater dual channels modules

Hi all, I'm having a cleanout of modules that I just haven't been playing through for months now, and it's time to send them to a good home where they can be properly loved (and played!). I'm selling three modules: TD: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300292053655 Erect...

Anyone go from Randall to Egnater?

I went from a MTS100 to a MOD50, and never looked back. :) I still have a soft spot for Randall, for a lot of reasons. My very first gig was played on an old Randall combo, back in 1993! :) I'd not hesitate to get some of the signature Randall Modules to use in my Egnater rig. Randall rocks...

    GSP1101 mini-review

Great reading here, thanks for sharing your thoughts guys! I should have one coming in on loan next week. I'll also be using it with my Egnater. I'll let you know what I think after I've lived with it for a while. Orren

New Hectic Watermelon tune in progress: ?Hot Mama?s Music Bo

Hey John, I checked the HC website, and noticed you're playing in HB, but I couldn't find any details. Where are you playing in Huntington Beach? I live in The OC? and would love to try and catch your show! :) Thanks, Orren

    Any news from Summer NAMM?

Hey Ned, last NAMM I went down to the Godlyke booth looking for you, but you weren't there. If you do show up at NAMM 2008 you're morally obligated as a Egnater/Randall user to say hello at some point. ;) I live 10 miles from Anaheim, so I'm always there?plus, as a full-time pro audio book...

Does the TOPBOOST module sound good with EL84 yellowjackets?

I absolutely love the sound of the THD Yellowjacket Triodes. These are EL84 adapters that run at half-power, with the power grid smoothed out (like an EL34 amp with a Triode switch). It sounds far better than the normal Yellowjackets?less harsh, more natural, but still the chime and low end...

    Egnater TV vs TD modules

Does anyone here have a "TV" module? There's one on Ebay, and I'm wondering how it differs from the "TD" module. I can guess that "TV" means Twin/Vox and I know that TD is Twin/Deluxe. But I'm wondering if this is truly two completely unique voicings, or if the TV and TD are actually quite...

Recording: SL2, Erect, COD dual channel modules

This isn't so much a "clip" as a complete song. I've finally finished a CDs worth of goodness for Ember After, my industrial/metal/goth/rock/insert-other-label-here group. And we did one cover song: Paranoid, by Black Sabbath. Our version. :) The guitar solo is not me; its played by Ed...

Mod 50 Got Buried By Bogner Shiva!

I would second everything John has said (others too), and add the following: Having played live with another guitarist in the band, I think the best thing that both of you can do is to dial in complimentary but significantly differing tones. If he's going for a mid-gain Fender style sound, go...

    Before I make the plunge...

Let me just expand on Ned's statement here: Ned is right, you can't simply grab an EL84 tube and stick it into the tube slot of an MTS 100. However, THD Electronics sells Yellow Jacket adaptors, which let you use EL84s in amps designed for 6L6/EL34/pentode tubes. And Yellow Jacket adapters...

    New Egnater modules for 2007!

I would agree with everything everyone has said about these modules?I'll definitely be adding these (and more!) to my rig! I'm sorry I missed you guys at NAMM! Ned, I actually went by the Godlyke booth looking for you, but you weren't around. :) Take care, Orren

New Egnater & Randall Modules for 2007 NAMM?????

I will be there all four days also?I would love to meet you guys too! I have to be there in an "official" capacity (I'm a pro audio writer and editor for a major publisher) and have official meetings set up on and off all four days; however, if we can all agree on a time, such as "Lets all be...

MOD 20 ..what do you think

You are completely correct. :) I have two Yellow Jacket Triodes in my MOD50, and no new bias was required, they self-bias. BTW--the YJ Triodes basically operate at 1/2rds power of a normal EL84, so they bring the amp down to about 10W in full power mode, 2W in low power mode. And they sound...
