1973 tele with GFS Fatbody Pups (believ it or not)

Lynch box 50 combo with:

Tweed module with gain at around 12:30 - dialing back the guitar volume for a totally clean sound.

SL+ with gain at 12 noon.

And the piece de resistance - a Bad Monkey pedal with the volme dimed and the gain at zero.

This gives me the 1978 Springsteen lead guitar sound that I have been chasing forever - I know Springsteen lead guitar? - check youtube for his guitar work during that period.

Also gives me SRV in spades with my neck and neck mid pup positions.

This amp definitely isn't only for shredders.

Nice dude, awesome you're happy with it! :)
I don't think the eternal tonequest will ever rest with myself, haha

that sound that Bruce made back then was great..I'll never know why he didnt do more with it after that. It was distinctive, cutting, emotional and direct.
Carry the Torch my man..its a great tone!
..and of course these amps arent just for super high gain people!!!
GtrGeorge

He definitely concentrated more on his songwriting. And with the # of songs he wrote, his shows were filled with songs instead of solos.

Lynch Box with a Deluxe, Brahma, SL+ in it here. G&L Legacy, Fender Mustang, and LP w/ P90s, and an ESP Alexi. Gains set in about the same place.
