Tell Me About E-Rect

Im GASing for an E-Rect module but Im concerned because Ive heard so many old Rectos sound great and so many new ones sound terrible. Now, part of that is due to guitarists who scoop them and make them sound like garbage, but the truth remains that the old ones DO sound better. Id be looking for it to sound like King's X "Dogman", Dream Theater "Awake" or Winger "Pull". These albums used early Rectos that sound KILLER!

Would E-Rect do this for me? Also, which mode are the channels based on? Vintage (Orange) or Modern (Red)? Ideally, Id want Channel A Modern (for Rhythm) and Channel B Vintage (for Leads).

it doesnt sound like a recto in many clips ive heard . when talking on the phone about a Custom hi gain mod this was the platform that was suggestted to as it is tight , thick and very articulate.
